Heart Circles
One of The YIN Project’s main goals is to inspire small local groups to gather for the purpose of honoring and embracing the feminine power.
Below is a description of the circle model we believe will best support this outcome.
To sustain joy requires that we focus on what brings us joy; on what we truly want in any given moment, on what feels ‘right’ to us, on that which we are passionate about feeling, doing or having.
Knowing what we want in any given moment requires that we feel those wants rather than intellectualize them. But we come from a culture largely cut off from the organic rhythms of heart-desire and therefore confuse this kind of longing with selfishness and egocentricity. Some religions even teach adherents to become “desire-less” thus confusing “attachment” with desire itself. We also come from a culture where wants are massively programmed into people from the outside rather than encouraging people to feel their wants arise from within. A heart circle is a structure that supports people finding out what they want thus encouraging their unlimited potential to create the life and world they passionately want to create.

When our lives are in balance and we live in the present moment, life is inherently joyful. Heart circles encourage us to be present to this joy more and more and give us an experience of how to do that.
A Heart Circle is formed by a small group of people (2-6) who are attracted to one another energetically and operate from shared agreements that all participants agree on. Participants encourage and support each other to take the time to feel the heart’s desire, rather than just an intellectual idea of what the person thinks they want.
How do you feel? What do you want? These are the two central questions in the Heart Circle process. These questions instantly encourage one to drop to a deeper level of self-awareness. It takes one out of the story of the head and connects to the truth of the heart. In that moment one is invited to become aware of something they desire.
When we are feeling connected with our heart presence we feel and experience joy. We feel joy because we are vibrating with our soul. It’s who and what we truly are. We are vibrating in harmony with the Universe. All things are possible when we connect with this truth of ourselves. Focusing on what brings us joy is the most powerful way to create anything you want in your life.
When we make choices from what we are supposed to do, or not do, based on somebody else’s ideas, rather than from our inner knowing, or our heart place, we may miss an opportunity to experience joy. In fact, many of us have created our whole lives around rules and expectations that have nothing at all to do with our inner knowing, our joy. We then find we are familiar with feelings of lack, loneliness, depression, fear, and resentment. We’re not connected with our essence of Life, so how could we possibly feel or experience its blessings, its richness, its peace, it’s Joy?
Heart Circle is a practice that will help you to consciously move towards a ‘better feeling place’ whenever you choose to do so. The process is astounding!
